## Description

The Patient Rights Ombudsman (Rzecznik Praw Pacjenta) is a central Polish government authority protecting patients' rights. It operates a free, round-the-clock Patient Information Telephone (Telefoniczna Informacja Pacjenta) and handles patient complaints and petitions.

## Scope

Protection of individual and collective patient rights and intake/handling of patient complaints in Poland. It is not a licensing authority and does not register physicians or facilities.
