Technical Health Council of Panama (Consejo Técnico de Salud)

A council that operates within Panama's Ministry of Health (MINSA), established by Article 108 of the Sanitary Code (Ley 66 of 1947). It controls the practice of the medical and allied professions and grants the idoneidad (professional suitability), the legal authorization required to practise, to physicians and dentists.

Scope of authority

Grants idoneidad (licence to practise) to physicians and dentists (médicos y odontólogos generales y especialistas) and controls the practice of medical and health professions nationally.
