Voluntary professional association of physicians in Lithuania (Lietuvos gydytojų sąjunga). By its own description it is an independent, voluntary organisation uniting about 70 percent of Lithuanian doctors and defending their professional interests.
Scope of authority
Professional membership body, not a licensing authority. Licensing of physicians and healthcare institutions in Lithuania is carried out by VASPVT.
