Register of Entities Performing Medical Activity (Rejestr Podmiotów Wykonujących Działalność Leczniczą, RPWDL)
RPWDL is Poland's electronic register of entities performing medical activity, administered by the Center for e-Health (Centrum e-Zdrowia, CeZ) under the Act of 15 April 2011 on medical activity. Its public part covers medical entities (podmioty lecznicze) and the professional practices of doctors and dentists, nurses and midwives; the public register application is at rpwdl2.ezdrowie.gov.pl.
Scope of authority
Registration of healthcare facilities and professional practices in Poland; entities must be entered in the register before commencing medical activity. It is a registration system, not a practitioner-licensing chamber.
How to check a licence
- Go to the register via 'Przejdź do rejestru: https://rejestrymedyczne.ezdrowie.gov.pl/registry/rpwdl' on the portal page (that URL redirects to https://rejestry.ezdrowie.gov.pl/registry/rpwdl)
- Use the public part of the register (no login) to look up entities: medical entities, doctors' and dentists' professional practices, nurses' and midwives' practices
- The portal page offers a PDF 'RPWDL 2_0 Instrukcja dla użytkowników niezalogowanych' (2024-08-29) describing the public search; the search form fields themselves were not visible without JavaScript
